A Little Hollywood in Dallas
According to a longtime resident’s account published in Lake Highlands Advocate, scenes from the original television series Dallas were filmed right here in ChimneyHill. Residents remember Larry Hagman and other cast members bringing a little television drama to the neighborhood.

Cowboys Called It Home
That same account recalls Dallas Cowboys players living in ChimneyHill—including Randy White, who reportedly even served as the neighborhood’s crime watch chair. Talk about a strong defensive presence!

Distinctive by Design
ChimneyHill’s architecture attracted attention from the beginning. Lake Highlands Advocate, citing an archived Dallas Morning News article, reports that the development earned several design awards in the 1970s. Our neighborhood’s distinctive character has been part of its story for decades.
